The Developmental Approach to Parenting

Children don’t come with an owner’s manual. It’s up to us to find a way to parent within the busy lives we lead. The developmental approach allows parents to trust their own instincts and work from within the relationship with love and attachment.

Jean helps parents find their way through the many challenges of parenting.

Children need our love and strong attachments. Jean encourages parents to take charge and parent from within the relationship. Parents are supported as they navigate parenthood and discover ways to support and encourage their children’s developmental milestones.

Jean has 35 years of experience as a teacher and principal, working with students from kindergarten through Grade 12. She is a certified parent educator through the Neufeld Institute, teaching parenting courses based on the work of Dr. Gordon Neufeld. Jean’s focus is on solving problems through strong attachments and relationships. Jean is a parent of three and a grandmother to adorable twin girls.
